Nicholas Solbinsky convent is famous not only for the ceramic workshop, but also for the production of natural dairy products, painted gingerbread, but also with honey.

A ceramic workshop has existed in the Nikolo-Solbinsky convent since 2011. With the hard work and prayers of Mother Mother Superior and the sisters of the monastery, she is actively developing, expanding the range of products, improving the quality of painting and its diversity due to persistent creative searches.

The current style of decorating products was developed in 2015. Our production was based on the best traditions of Russian folk crafts, such as Zhostovo, Khokhloma, Permogorsk paintings, elements of Russian embroideries, and modern trends are reflected.

The beauty of nature and the motives of Russian ornaments determined the main direction of painting ceramic products in our workshop. Everything that surrounds us finds its embodiment in it: flowers and herbs, insects, birds, animals - the inhabitants of forests, meadows and fields.

The mural background - a deep chocolate shade - combines all products.

A separate area of the workshop is the manufacture of sculptures of saints.

A team of like-minded people, where secular specialists work along with nuns, professionally and responsibly approach the production of products that are not only beautiful, but also practical.

A gingerbread workshop appeared in our monastery in 2016. It was organized by the first graduate of the Good School on Solba, Anastasia, who lives with her husband and children in a village near Solba. Sisters and pupils of the shelter and school happily joined this fascinating lesson.

Gingerbread cookies that are made in the monastery are more like works of art than treats for tea, at the same time they have a great taste. Gingerbread cookies are prepared with the addition of honey, various spices and, of course, ginger, which gives them a special flavor.
