Creating the carved backgammon board "Eagle 3", the Armenian master Sarkis Petrosyan carefully thought over each element. The material chosen was beech, which is characterized by high strength and exceptional durability. Additional protection is provided by a coating of several layers of varnish. The leaves are securely held by means of bronze hinges, and closed with hooks made of the same metal. The front side is immediately greeted with a carved image of a soaring eagle, while on the back there is a checkers field surrounded by a large pattern. The inner surfaces are decorated with geometric patterns around each cell and a star in the central part. During the game, the chips can be folded into special grooves at the edges of the board.
