Khotkovskaya factory of carved art products - one of the oldest and leading Russian enterprises for the production and sale of jewelry and artistic and decorative products made of mammoth and walrus tusks.

The traditions of unique Khotkovo folk crafts date back to the end of the 19th century, when a carpentry workshop was organized in the Moscow suburb of Abramtsevo near the estate of the famous philanthropist Savva Mamontov.

There worked masters from neighboring villages, including in Khotkovo. Thanks to their talent, the unique style of the Paulokovo artistic carving was laid and developed over the years.

The combination of the traditions of the Abramtsevo school of carvers and the art of bone carving by the masters of the Russian North and Siberia became a peculiar feature of the unique style of Hotkovsky masters. The products of the factory - first of all, decorations and decorative sculptures made of mammoth and walrus bones - were not only extremely popular in the USSR, but also known outside the country.

However, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, bone carving fell into disrepair. Like most national craft enterprises, the factory was practically destroyed: the equipment was sold out, production and warehouse premises were leased to various commercial organizations, works by artists of carpenters were no longer in demand, and the unique team was disbanded.

And only in 2013, when the new owners took over the Khodekovsky carved bone, production was revived. Workshops were opened again, new equipment was purchased. The best bone carving masters from all over Russia were invited to the factory, and the best traditions of the unique “Hotkovsky” bone carving style were restored. Like half a century ago, when the factory was just beginning to master bone carving, the famous Kholmogory masters made a huge contribution to its formation and development. Artists are constantly working on updating the range of our company. It:

Today Khotkovskaya factory of carved art products is one of the most successful enterprises in the field of folk crafts, and the products created by its craftsmen enjoy exceptional success at numerous exhibitions and are in constant demand from buyers.
