JSC "Giprorrybflot" is the only organization on the territory of Russia and the CIS that deals with problems of development and maintenance of fishing fleet operation.
The whole fishing fleet of the former USSR and modern Russia, and this vessel with a displacement of 150 to 45,000 tons, was designed and built with the direct participation of the Institute's specialists.
According to design documentation developed by the Institute, all fishing ports in Russia, most fish processing and fish-breeding enterprises are built.
Specialists of JSC "Giprorrybflot" have significant experience and specific design of enterprises and vessels in the fishing industry.
Technological subdivisions of the Institute are working on the development of innovative technologies for deep processing of fish and seafood, standards, technical conditions, methods for identifying and determining the safety of raw materials and products are being developed. The quality and level of work in this area of activity is evidenced by the fact that for 30 years JSC Giprorybflot has been developing special canned fish for the nutrition of Russian and international space crews.
In the field of environmental activities, the Institute's staff successfully developed and tested an innovative technology for the purification of ballast water from fishing vessels. Work is underway to develop import-substituting equipment for complex cleaning and regeneration of drilling fluids, ballast and reservoir water treatment at oil and gas producing offshore platforms to the requirements of international conventions and Russian regulations. Specialists of JSC "Giprorrybflot" in the work on environmental monitoring of coastal regions of the Arctic perform instrumental aerial survey.
