Our company was established and began its activities in Istanbul in 2005, when Turkey began negotiations on full membership in the European Union. The free movement of goods, one of the first chapters discussed during the negotiations, became the reason for the creation of our organization and still remains our main area of activity.

The purpose of this chapter is to make possible the free movement of industrial goods and imported goods from third countries to the domestic market by removing technical barriers. To achieve this goal, the application of the Directives of the new approach and the participation of conformity assessment bodies are required. In order to best meet this need, our company began its activities as a full and exclusive representative of Strojirensky Zkusebni Ustav s.p., the Czech Notified Authority for 15 directives.

Having received its own accreditation and notifications in 2007, SZUTEST is currently accredited by TURKAK according to EN 17020, EN 17021 and EN 17065 standards and has been approved as Notified Body No. 2195 in 8 EU directives by the relevant ministries (Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Health and Ministry of the Environment and urbanization).

Since its inception, SZUTEST has been providing certification, testing and inspection services to manufacturers and they have managed to become one of the most preferred certification and conformity assessment organizations.

In accordance with its vision, our company has expanded its activities abroad and provides services to many customers around the world. Due to its national and international recognition and a high degree of reliability, our organization also works as a partner of TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) in China, Russia, South Korea, India and Bulgaria.

Upon request, SZUTEST can provide product conformity assessment services in all countries of the world.

As a SZUTEST team, we consider it a priority to treat all companies / individuals who apply to us equally and impartially, not taking into account their geographical location, size or membership in associations / unions throughout all conformity assessment processes. Our working groups and employees also adhere to the principles of confidentiality and impartiality and work without pressure and without taking into account the interests of any parties, and base their activities only on objective data.

For this, SZUTEST analyzed all possible conflicts of interest and took all necessary measures.

By its internal regulations, SZUTEST established that people in decision-making mechanisms for accreditation standards and related documents were different from those involved in conformity assessment processes. SZUTEST management made a commitment that they would not affect the decision to confirm compliance either positively or negatively, they would stop the conformity assessment process if a factor that could affect impartiality was identified, and they would avoid any behavior that could damage the customer’s reputation.

In addition, SZUTEST provides all resources for conducting all types of activities for authorized, transparent, objective, independent and impartial conformity assessment. We take full responsibility and accountability for all regulations and standards by which we are accredited, relevant annexes to these directives and standards, as well as in all areas in which we conduct conformity assessment activities.

SZUTEST is not involved in any activity that may conflict with the independence of its decisions and evaluations in relation to its conformity assessment activities. He may not be a developer, manufacturer, supplier, installer, commercial buyer, owner, commercial user or accompanying person, authorized representative or partner of products for which he performs conformity assessment services. In addition, SZUTEST cannot directly communicate with the manufacturer of a competing brand throughout the conformity assessment process.
