An interesting fact is that when the foundries of UZTM ceased to cope with the constantly increasing plan for the production of cast turrets for the T-34 tank, at the direction of the plant's management, a new stamped tower was designed, for the manufacture of which the free capacity of a 10,000-ton press was used. From October 1942 to March 1943, 2050 stamped towers were manufactured at UZTM, some of which were installed on T-34 tanks of their own production, and some were sent to Chelyabinsk to the Kirov plant.
