Type of painting: Semyonovskaya Since ancient times, the city of Semyonov has been considered the center of folk crafts. The famous nesting dolls are produced there. Craftsmen make a souvenir from natural wood, then manually paint and varnish. The peculiarity of Semyonov nesting dolls: they are not completely painted, therefore, in some areas, the texture of the tree is visible. An apron with red and burgundy flowers is considered the basis of the composition. The arms are always lowered at the sides, the hair is usually black. And blush is applied to the face with a round stamp. Matryoshka is not only a beautiful souvenir, but also a fascinating toy for a child that introduces him to Russian culture. While playing with the matryoshka, the baby: * improves the motor skills of the hands and eyes, * forms an idea of the size of the object, * develops logical thinking and coordination.
