The board game "Ancient Horror: Ruined Cities" is a long-awaited novelty, recently released in Russian for the first time. This is another small addition to the cult mystical co-op board game based on the works of the famous writer and recognized master of horror Howard Lovecraft. What's new? The add-on does not change the essence of the gameplay and requires the mandatory presence of the basic version of the board, it only introduces four new detectives, as well as the Ancients, monsters and contacts. With such a massive expansion, the board game will become even more fun and exciting. Earthquakes literally split the world in half, and it seems that this is not at all about natural disasters. Will experienced detectives be able to find and neutralize monsters that provoke multiple destruction? The main task of our brave researchers is to prevent the progenitor of the Chthonians, Shudde M'el, from waking up. This Ancient One is imprisoned on the continent now called Africa, in the underground city of G'harna. Now this city has turned into ruins, which means that a terrible monster can awaken at any moment. The main innovation introduced by this add-on is destruction maps. Depending on the scenario in which the gameplay develops, the capital of a country at one end of the globe may burn to the ground, and at a completely opposite point, it can collapse to the ground from a terrible earthquake. If the researcher is in the city at the moment the destruction card is applied to him, he dies. If all nine cities are destroyed, the researchers lose.
