At the beginning of the reign of Empress Catherine II, linen factories arose in the district town of Shuya. The original linen factory was founded in Shuya by the merchant Igumnov around 1755. After the merchant Igumnov, the original founders of the linen factories were merchants: the Shilovs, Kornilovs, Kolshevnikovs, Sofoneevs and Nosovs. The Nosov merchants had up to 450 factory ownership peasants at the factory.

Printed fabrication originated in Shuya in 1790. From 1820 this industry began to flourish and rose to great strength. The same year is the year when our company was founded.

The Shuya merchant Vasily Maksimovich Kiselev was the first to write out white and red paper yarn from England in Shuya, and thus finally strengthened and rooted paper-weaving production. The Kiselevs' house can be called the ancestor of the manufacturing industry of the Shuisky district.

In parallel with the Kisyolovs, the factories of merchants, the Posylyn brothers, developed rapidly. The products of the Posylin manufactories were awarded a large gold medal at the First All-Russian Exhibition of the Manufacturing Industry in St. Petersburg in 1829.

In 1856, the weaving of paper fabrics became a handicraft that prevailed in the entire Shuisk district: there was no village, village, even the smallest village, wherever a paper-weaving mill was in operation. There were more than 200 of all villages in which weaving was made, where there were up to 60,000 people of all ages. Of these, up to 15,000 hands work at factories, and 45,000 in their villages and huts.
