In 1994, the old pottery shop in the village of Prosnitsa, Kirovo-Chepetsk district, Kirov region, was leased by the firm "Komtech" (or "Technology Company"). The specialists of the firm have restored the clay processing equipment, furnaces and the building itself; and established production.

In the Kirov region, not only flower pots were launched, but also consumer goods, highly artistic products, which are very popular both in our region and abroad (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Barnaul, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Togliatti, Tyumen and other regions).

Potter with more than 30 years of experience VA Popov, artists VA Suvorov, NA Chetverikova, SV Kobelev and others changed the range of products and technology of their production.

Hand work and a potter's wheel were combined with the author's artistic instinct and the imagination of masters and artists, their need and desire to breathe new life into the old craft.

Since 1994, the products of LLC "Komteh" refer to the products of folk crafts of recognized artistic merit. All products of the enterprise are molded manually on the potter's wheel. Works of masters are unique, stories and forms always differ from each other, they have an individual handwriting of the author. Figures, ornaments and patterns are beautiful and noble. The products combine colors of calm and muted tones: on a brown background of different shades stand out dark brown, almost black, and silvery patterns of engraving with glaze.

Engraving, or "scratched", is performed by all kinds of sticks, carved out of hard wood or made of metal. Patterns can be applied directly while rotating the potter's wheel, immediately after molding, or after the product dries a little. Engraving on ceramics is considered the most laborious method of decorative decoration of clay products. Patterns (whether it's an ornament, a landscape of a beloved corner of nature or an abstraction) are mostly applied when the tournet rotates with a metal wire loop.

Earlier, iron oxide was used to decorate the products, now they began to use dry dark glaze, which is purchased at a well-known porcelain factory in Dulyovo near Moscow. In the process of producing products, two firing is done at a temperature of 1000 degrees. Then the shard becomes durable and beautiful.

In 1996, the company opened a brand-name shop "Vyatka ceramics", in which you can see a large selection of products of Vyatka ceramist masters.

LLC "Comtech" actively participates in various exhibitions and fairs. The company's products are awarded with diplomas and certificates of such prestigious exhibitions as Interopttorg-94 (Moscow), Summer 1998 (Kazan), Small Business of Russia-1997 and Small Business of Russia-2000 Nizhny Novgorod), Rook 2005 (Moscow), Hozembeltorg 2005, 2006, 2007, Household - 2008, 2009, 2010, the Serpentine Fair (Syktyvkar) and others.

Also, the works of the masters of LLC "Komtech" were awarded with diplomas of the All-Russia exhibition "Potters of Russia" (Vologda, 2003, Skopin, Ryazan region, 2004, 2007, 2010), participated in the All-Russian art exhibition "Contemporary Folk Art of Russia. Traditions and the Present "(Vologda, 2008).

In 2007-2008, the artists of the enterprise VA Suvorov and AV Hardin were given the status of "Master of Folk Art Crafts of the Kirov Region".
