The construction of Fayans CJSC was started in 1992, in the open field, during the acute need to create new domestic producers of gross product and to ensure employment of the population.

In May 1998, the enterprise was registered as operating, and already in 1999 the design capacities for the production of toilet bowls-compacts and washstands with pedestals from semi-porcelain masses were mastered. The territory of the plant is located on the western outskirts of Smolensk, near the Moscow-Minsk and Smolensk-Vitebsk highways and has access railroads, which allows you to ship products by any type of transport.

The idea, design, construction belong to the general director, the deserved builder of Russia, the academician of the Moscow Institute of Architecture, Mecenas Centennia, awarded the Order of Friendship and the current head of the "Faience" - Nikolai Chikov.

Over the years, the company's products have taken a strong niche in the consumer goods market. A dealer network is widely developed. To date, ZAO Fayans is characterized by new achievements, technical developments and stable indicators of economic growth.

Reconstruction of the existing plant involves the expansion of production areas of 1500 square meters with the completion of output in the following years to 300 thousand.
