Since 1999, one of the main activities of the company "Meridian" is logging and timber processing. Harvesting of timber is carried out in the Kushvinsky and Nizhneturinsky districts of the Sverdlovsk region.
In early 2000, the construction of an industrial site in the city of Verkhnyaya Tura for the processing of forest products was laid. In the summer of the same year, railroad tracks adjoining the Upper station were mounted, for the simultaneous loading of ten gondola cars. The first gondola car was loaded and shipped on October 12, 2000.
In 2004, increasing the volume of harvesting and cross-cutting of forest products, the enterprise acquires an industrial zone in Kachkanar and organizes a separate subdivision Meridian Kachkanar-Les.
At the end of 2006, a coal burning furnace was built for deep wood processing.
At present, our enterprise is a complex for processing wood with a full technological cycle at two production bases in the cities of Verkhnyaya Tura and Kachkanar. LLC "Meridian" is a member of the Ural Forestry Union, the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The organization now has a lease of forest for a period of 49 years for the estimated logging of 120 thousand m3 of timber per year in the Kushvinsky and Nizhneturinsky districts of the Sverdlovsk region.
At present, the organization has 2 sawmills, a coal section equipped with filling lines for dispensing charcoal to paper kraft bags of 3 and 5 kg and big bags of 100 kg, 2 transport sites for production maintenance, a logging site and 2 lower warehouses for primary processing of wood and its shipment.
Production facilities of the enterprise allow to produce finished timber products in the following volumes per year:
lumber - 25tys. m³;
balances of birch - 10 thousand m³;
balances of coniferous - 8 thousand m³;
plywood raw materials (plywood ridge) - 28 thousand m³;
Fuel wood - 20 thousand m³;
charcoal wood birch - 1,8 thousand tons.
The number of forestry workers is 450 people.
In 2005, as a logical extension of deeper wood processing, the production of glued beams and units for the construction of houses from it in the city of Tyumen with a production volume of 5,000 m³ or more than 100 constructed facilities a year is launched.
In 2013, such a line is launched in the city of Verkhnyaya Tura and units for the sale of glued beams and construction of houses from it in the cities of Ekaterinburg and Moscow are being opened.
The launch of new capacities allows producing more than 10 thousand m³ of glued beams and molded products (falshrus, lining) or more than 200 ready houses per year.
Now the company "Meridian" is a modern complex of the enterprises of the timber and building branches with a full cycle of processing of wood from its harvesting in the forest to the construction on a turn-key basis of modern ecologically clean houses from glued beams.
