Characteristics:
The smell is sharp, specific, spicy. The taste is somewhat pungent, spicy bitter.
This evergreen shrub reaches a height of about half a meter. Its erect stems bear oppositely arranged leaves. Leaves of a linear-lanceolate shape, whole-edge, bent down at the edges. In the lower leaves on both sides of the Bilopovo is pubescence. Violet flowers are arranged in false whorls that form an intermittent spike. Each whorl consists of 6-10 flowers. It blooms from July to August.
Contains 0.8-1.2% of essential oil. In the flowers there is coumarin ursolic acid: benzo-α-pyrone and methyl ether umbelifron - herniarin; flavonoids: luteolin, acacetin, vitexin; phenylcarboxylic, fatty and organic acids tannins and carotenoids.
The main component of the essential oil is the esters of linalool alcohol and acids: acetic, butyric, valerianic and caproic; Hexenyl butyrate, lavenderulyl, geranyl, terpinyl and non-aryl acetates, geraniol, neroli, lavenderulol, amyl alcohol, linalyl monoxide, borneol, cumin alcohol, citral, cinnamon and valerian aldehydes, cineole, α-pinene-phenene, , α- and β-caryophylene oxide, bisabolene and zest.

It has a diuretic, choleretic, antispasmodic, sedative effect, improves cerebral circulation. In folk medicine it is used for cardiovascular diseases, migraines, neurasthenia, insomnia, kidney stones, pyelonephritis, for wound healing, stimulation of digestion, for baths - for joint inflammation, with neuralgia, injuries, dislocations and paralyzes. Leaves and inflorescences entered BTF (have carminative and antispasmodic effects). Lavender oil has antiseptic and bactericidal properties.
application
Lavender flowers are used externally for purulent wounds, skin diseases and neuralgia. An alcohol solution of oil is part of the aerosol preparation Livian, which is used in the treatment of burn wounds. Eterna oil is widely used in aromatherapy, along with other oils it is included in phytocompositions, which are recommended for use in ergonomics, perfumes and cosmetics, alcoholic beverage and paint and varnish industries. Terms and conditions of storage
Store in isolation in a dry, well-ventilated place and protected from the sun. Recommended storage temperature is 18-20 ⁰С and air humidity is 30-40%.
