What is a customs commissioner:

According to the Romanian Customs Code, a customs commissioner is a Romanian legal person, constituted according to law, who, in the name and on behalf of another person or in his own name, but on behalf of another person, presents the goods and performs the detailed declaration of goods, storage and other formalities provided in the customs regulations, as well as the payment to the customs authority of the amount of the import and export duties. At the same time, the Customs Commissioner establishes direct legal relations with the customs authority for all the operations he performs and is responsible for the observance of the customs regulations.
