India supports the need to develop cooperation in the format of e-commerce in the BRICS

Indian business supports the position of the Russian side on the need for the development of e-commerce within the BRICS. This was reported by TASS Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Rus Trade, a member of the Coordination Council of Business Russia, the head of the working group on agriculture in the BRICS Business Council from the Russian Federation Anna Nesterova.

"Recently, e-commerce is one of the key topics of discussion in the BRICS Business Council. The need to create a single information resource of verified suppliers and buyers for the conclusion of export-import transactions between participants in foreign economic activities of BRICS was fully supported by the Indian business community, "said Nesterova, who arrived in India at the invitation of New Delhi to participate in the 90th Annual General Meeting of the Federation Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.

She noted that for India e-commerce is also one of the drivers of development. "At the meeting of the ministers of finance of the states of India, during the Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the important role of e-commerce for building global value chains with the participation of both small and large businesses was noted. The dynamic development of this industry was mentioned in his speech by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "

"Since I am the founder of Russia's largest B2B platform for cross-border e-commerce, I hope that the development of dialogue in the BRICS will be a good platform for sharing best practices and removing barriers to electronic commerce in our countries," noted Nesterova

Indian businessmen are ready to participate in the work of such a site. Now the Russian side plans to hold talks on cooperation with all the major players of Internet commerce in the BRICS space.

As, in turn, the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia in India, Vyacheslav Kochkin, Russia proposed to create a network of electronic platforms in the BRICS space. "This is important, because one Russian electronic platform will not be able to provide the requests of all member states of the five," Kochkin said.
