The Third Forum "Hope for Technology" was held in Moscow

On December 5, a panel discussion titled “Developing the Export Potential of Russian Manufacturers of the Rehabilitation Industry” was held as part of the Hope for Technology Forum. The event was moderated by the Deputy Director of the Asia, Africa and Latin America Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Andrei Sobolev. The event was addressed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Rus Trade, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association for the Promotion of National Productions, Anna Nesterova, the Development Director of Istok Audio Trading LLC Yegor Knyazev and the Director of Economics of Metiz Impex LLC Evgeny Zaika. The panelists discussed the current state of the rehabilitation industry and outlined the main measures to stimulate and support the export of this industry. Experts noted the barriers faced by manufacturers of rehabilitation goods in the process of entering foreign markets. Yegor Knyazev presented the results of the work of his company, which produces hearing aids and other rehabilitation products, and also spoke about export experience. According to the expert, the main problem that hinders foreign economic processes is related to product certification. In addition, Egor identified a greater degree of involvement of the company in e-commerce. So, in the Istok Audio Trading LLC operates a department that deals with this channel of international product promotion. The complexity of the certification procedure noted and Eugene Zaika. According to the speaker, this process is time consuming. Also in his speech, Eugene mentioned a high share of exports of his company's products (prosthetic and orthopedic products). This is more conducive to the participation of the organization in international exhibitions and fairs. Anna Nesterova stressed the importance of e-commerce channels. In the context of global digitalization, e-commerce is the fastest and least expensive way to search for international partners. In addition, Anna drew attention to the requirements for the placement of rehabilitation products on marketplaces. Manufacturers need to provide sites with a package of documents, including a registration certificate, a certificate or declaration of conformity for the product, a license for the production of medical equipment and a certificate of state registration for each item of goods. Compliance with these requirements when placed on electronic trading platforms will help to increase the level of confidence of potential buyers and increase foreign demand for the rehabilitation of national producers.
