The International tourist forum “Big Ural-2019” took place

On April 26, the Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference “Mechanisms to support the production and promotion of NHP products in Russia and abroad: problems and solutions” was held in Yekaterinburg as part of the International Tourist Forum “Big Ural-2019”. The conference was attended by Ekaterina Ivanova, Head of the Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development Department of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, and Vyacheslav Pogudin, Chair of the Social Policy Committee of the Sverdlovsk Region, and Professor of the Moscow Arts and Industry Academy. S.G. Stroganova, member of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ralia Musina, General Director of STK LLC, Head of the Interregional Cultural and Educational Program “Patterns of Russian Cities”, Elena Surguladze, President of the Association “Promotion of National Productions”, Executive Director of Global Rus Trade Irina Ipatova, etc. Vyacheslav Pogudin spoke about the regional law on folk art crafts (NHP). Now on the territory of the Sverdlovsk region 11 places of traditional existence are registered. The speaker called the lack of development of the marketing and sales system, insufficient financial support measures and personnel issues as the main problems in the development of NHPs in the region. Elena Surguladze shared her international practical experience in creating tourist routes with the involvement of NHP masters. There are similar successful examples in Russia: tourists get acquainted with technology and equipment, watch films about production, try to create a sample with their own hands, etc. Irina Ipatova told about the project implemented by the Association of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, which is aimed at the introduction by manufacturers of socially significant goods of modern business and marketing methods. In other words, today the manufacturer should be represented wherever a potential buyer can see it. The speaker shared with the audience tips on working with electronic trading platforms, or marketplaces. Marketplaces can be domestic and international, have product or regional specialization. They can work both in the retail sector and in the wholesale. Suitable sites should be selected based on the target audience and the necessary promotion tools. When working with electronic trading platforms, it is necessary to take seriously the selection of high-quality product photos. The title should contain the most important keywords by which buyers can search for goods on the Internet. The description should reflect those properties of the product that can not be transferred using the photo. And finally, it is necessary to fill in the main characteristics of the product, by which it can be compared with similar products on the site.
