Anna Nesterova spoke at the VIII Forum "Infrastructure Projects of Russia"
The founder and chairman of the board of directors of Global Rus Trade Anna Nesterova spoke on December 21 at the forum "Infrastructure Projects of Russia" in the framework of the session "Investment Opportunities of the Far East".
Anna Nesterova noted that much has been done in recent years to show investors that interest in the Far East is in earnest for a long time. This is a key component of success and results - trillions of rubles, which are attracted to the region in the framework of signed contracts. A full cycle of investor protection and support has been created in the region. And, most importantly, it is clear that these mechanisms are working: in the media often appears information about the launch of new projects.
In principle, all the necessary conditions for investment inflows have been created. That is why now it is necessary to think about the next step - creating conditions for increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses. This is very important and is the cornerstone in the implementation of the export strategy for the development of the Far East. The region is objectively located in close proximity to large importers and this factor should be used.
The nearest neighbors of the Far East - South Korea, China and Japan - accumulate more than 25% of GDP and 55% of the world's population live in these regions. Considering the forecasts for the growth of consumer activity in these countries (especially in China), the Far East faces fundamentally new opportunities for export and investment attraction.
The key import sectors of China, South Korea and Japan are chemical products ($ 262 billion per year), agricultural products ($ 160 billion per year), forest products ($ 65 billion), machinery and equipment ($ 21 billion). In general, in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, food imports amount to $ 250 billion.
Proceeding from the current diversification of the Far Eastern economy, it is possible to call promising from the point of view of exporting the branch of machinery and equipment, agro-industrial complex and forest complex, including in the field of deep wood processing. It is also important that Russia has always been strong in the chemical industry and it is possible to look for points of growth in this direction.
Also Anna Nesterova noted that a number of mechanisms that really help to realize the export potential are working successfully now.
First, assistance can be obtained through the Russian Export Center and trading houses. The second important point that I would like to note is the importance of registration on all possible electronic platforms, which is the easiest way to promote your products abroad. And the third point is the mandatory conduct of high-quality marketing analysis, which will provide an understanding of the competitive situation in new markets.
Anna Nesterova shared a number of practical cases and told what steps should be taken by the companies of the Far East to be successful in foreign markets.
Andrey Fedotovsky (Director of the Department of Advanced Development Territories and Infrastructure), Natalia Vladimirovna Porokhova (Director, Head of Research and Forecasting Group, Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA)), Rodionov Anton Olegovich (Director of ANO Investment Agency of Primorsky Krai "), Pegin Nikolay Anatolyevich (General Director of JSC" Corporation of Development of Kamchatka "), Petrova Alexandra Semenovna (Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Sakha-Ya utiya) and others.
