A conference on EU-EEA cooperation was held at the SPIEF
On May 31 the International Conference on Cooperation Development in the Territory from Lisbon to Vladivostok was held on the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Representatives of business and authorities took part in it. During the discussion, issues of simplification of cross-border trade, association of financial markets and development of transport infrastructure were touched upon.
As a key speaker in the conference participated a member of the Presidium of the General Council of "Business Russia", chairman of the board of directors of the Russian platform of cross-border electronic commerce Global Rus Trade Anna Nesterova.
In her opinion, the EU and the EEA countries should develop mutual cooperation by increasing trade turnover with the help of the cross-border electronic trade tool. The subjects of SMEs in the space from Lisbon to Vladivostok have a huge export growth potential. It must be used, Anna Nesterova is convinced.
According to her, an important mechanism for simplifying cross-border trade is electronic platforms that would allow not only to find partners abroad in a unified database of proven suppliers, but also to display their products on the international marketplace. Anna Nesterova stressed the possible prospect of creating a structure that would unite all market participants.
The conference on development of cooperation in the territory from Lisbon to Vladivostok was held with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Association of European Businesses.
