SORDIS was founded on the basis of a large winery, whose 40-year-old activity was devoted to the production of high-quality tinctures, vodkas and fortified wine. In 1968, the USSR Council of Ministers decided to build an experimental winery in Gorky that would meet the needs of the Volga-Vyatka region and surrounding areas. The latest equipment was delivered, advanced technologies were mastered. The best specialists were invited from Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories. In the shortest possible time, in two years, a large winery has grown almost from scratch. In 2004, with the advent of a new team of managers and specialists in the field of production and technology, the foundation was laid for the work of the modern holding SORDIS.

Today, all divisions, from the laboratory to the bottling plant, are equipped with advanced imported equipment. Italian and German automated lines were installed, allowing to produce products at a speed of 6 to 12 thousand bottles per hour. The latest generation equipment has been installed for the purification of vodka by silver and platinum filtration, their processing with milk powder, and tinctures and cognacs at low temperatures. The company uses a unique technology of aging vodka in oak barrels, which has no analogues not only in the Russian Federation, but also in the world.

A close-knit team of professionals and specialists in their fields brings to life the principles of the enterprise - the production of a natural product that meets the highest requirements and standards.

The heads of all departments improve their skills at all-Russian exhibitions and forums, exchange experience with foreign companies, develop and introduce new work technologies.
Currently, SORDIS products are represented in 86 regions of Russia. In the countries of the near abroad - Kazakhstan and Armenia; in the Baltic countries - Latvia; in Southeast Asia - the Republic of Vietnam.
