Basmati-Reis

Aromatic basmati rice from India is globally preferred for its fragrant taste as all other types of rice, this oblong Indian variety available in brown and white forms. Brown basmati rice retains its outer bran layer and typically contains more fiber and nutrients than white basmati rice, milled and stripped of its bran. A 1/4-Cup serving of uncooked brown Basmati rice contains about 150 calories, about 15 calories or 10% of the total caloric content--contributed 1.5 grams of fat. None of this amount is saturated fat and TRANS fat, and brown Basmati rice does not contain any cholesterol. White basmati rice, which has 160 calories per 1/4-Cup, has some of its natural oils are removed in the milling process and do not have any detection of the amount of fat.
